How do you do a pumpkin carving using augmented reality(AR)? It’s easy when you use the Amazon AR app. You can have some fun experiencing AR this Halloween and share with family and friends. I won’t go deep into this topic but instead share a fun AR activity.
However, if you wish to learn more on your own about software tools you can use to create AR experiences, I provide a few links in this post.
What is augmented reality?
Augmented reality is when you view real world objects through a device such as a smartphone or possibly a set of computer enhanced lenses.
These are often 3D images placed in your field of view so it looks like they are actually there but do not exist when not viewing them through a display.
This particular technology is advancing quickly and education can be a big benefactor of such technology.

When you print out the BLANK ONE, you can use a DARK MARKER to draw your OWN FACE on it!
Scan the drawing by moving left to right with your device.
Watch the video below to see the process in action.
Be sure to take your time with the scan and give it just a moment to register.
You can even grab a SELFIE by clicking on the circle arrow to change the phone camera!
Explore Coding with AR
As you dig into learning to code over at Courses.GetMeCoding.com, you then explore many of the great online resources where you can build AR experiences. Here are a few that seem to be getting the most attention:
I hope you enjoyed seeing AR used this way and it gives you some inspiration to learn more and explore how you can start building with it.
